Guides - z32 - Instructions for Single Pop Intake

Before you get started Boostpro would like you to know that we are not responsible for any damage caused to your engine. As long as you follow basic instruction and DO NOT exceed 7 psi of pressure while pressurizing your manifold there won't be any problems. Now let's get started! (click images to enlarge) Tools required 10mm socket and/or wrench Flathead screwdriver Air supply w/ air chuck (such as air compressor or air tank) 1- Remove nose panel in front of hood. 4 - 10mm bolts 2- Unplug mass air flow sensor. 3- If you have aftermarket intake simply unclamp the mass air flow sensor with a flathead screwdriver from the intake system. However if you do not you will have to remove the factory air box and then unclamp the mass air flow sensor with the flathead screwdriver. The airbox consists of a few 10mm bolts. Quite easy to figure out. 4- Once the mass air flow sensor is removed you may insert the Boostpro Boost Leak Tester into the intake system. It fits perfectly where the mass air flow sensor use to fit. Make sure it is seated correctly and tighten clamp. 5- You may now take your air supply and pressurize the intake system. Carefully monitor the gauge and remember DO NOT exceed 7 psi of pressure. Don't worry about it happening by accident because it takes about 25 seconds generally to get to that level of psi in your intake. Once you have hit 7 psi carefully listen for any air leaks. They are very easy to hear and you may have to pressurize the intake 2 or 3 times to find their exact location. If you have any other questions please e-mail me at chris@boostpro.net
